Cadaver
In a monument, an effigy depicted a naked corpse; also called a gisant.
Camber
Slight rise or upward curve in place of a horizontal line or plane.
Cames
Lead strips joining pieces of window glass.
Campanile
(Italian): Free-standing bell-tower.
Candle-snuffer roof
Conical roof of a turret.
Canted
With an angled edge or sides.
Cantilever
Horizontal projection (e.g. step, canopy) supported at one end only.
Caphouse
(Scots): Small chamber at the head of a turnpike or newel stair, opening onto the parapet walk. Also a chamber rising from within the parapet walk.
Capital
Head or crowning feature of a column or pilaster.
Carrel
Compartment designed for individual work or study.
